Now that he’s out of rehab, Ministry mastermind Al Jourgensen’s getting back to the business of being Al Jourgensen, and that means putting out a live album. getting the band back for a new tour and, last but not least, trying his hand at being a TV weatherman.

This week’s new releases include two different box sets and a new best-of from The Clash, plus Ministry’s farewell album, new music from Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon and Juliana Hatfield of Blake Babies, a new Boomtown Rats best-of and a compilation of Rank & File’s first two albums.

This week’s new releases include the first Suburbs album in 27 years, the U.S. release of Ministry’s new live album, a new best-of from Tears For Fears, a super-limited pressing of The Godfathers’ reunion album ‘Jukebox Fury’ on red vinyl, and a collection of rarities from ska act Bad Manners.

For this week’s this installment of Vintage Video, we travel back 30 years to a kinder, gentler time, an era before Al Jourgensen discovered speed metal and riddled his face with tattoos and piercings, and was, instead, simply content to rock a sharp hat, sing in a faux British accent and craft some high-grade early-’80s synthpop.

On Friday, Ministry debuted the video for new single “PermaWar,” and while bandleader Al Jourgensen gave the clip a cursory plug on his recently launched Facebook page, he was preoccupied with something far more pressing: a “Caddyshack”-like battle against a “thug gang of asshole raccoons.”

Ministry today debuted the music video for “PermaWar,” the first single off the industrial-metal act’s forthcoming album From Beer to Eternity — which Al Jourgensen has announced will be the band’s last. The album is due out Sept. 10, and will also be available in a “mini-coffin” box set.

This week’s new releases include 180-gram audiophile vinyl reissues of three albums from Scottish pop group Deacon Blue, the U.K. DVD version of MInistry’s new live set, and a five-disc box set called ‘Acid Rain: Definitive Original Acid & Deep House 1985-1991.’
