This week’s new releases include INXS’s disc of re-recorded hits with all-star vocalists (‘Original Sin’), two reissues from The Church (‘Seance,’ ‘Heyday’), a new studio album from ex-Dream Syndicate frontman Steve Wynn (‘Northern Aggression’), a New Model Army box set (‘Anthology’) and the domestic reissue of The Teardrop Explodes’ ‘Kilimanjaro.’

This week’s new releases include a brand-new best-of from the Pet Shop Boys, a 2CD reissue of The Jam’s ‘Sound Affects,’ a live DVD from INXS, new studio albums from Brian Eno and Elvis Costello, and reissues from The Fall, UB40 and The Motels.

The surviving members of INXS finally have unveiled the tracklist and release dates for their long-in-the-works ‘Original Sin’ greatest-hits collection, featuring re-recordings of the band’s classics with new vocals by the likes of Ben Harper, Rob Thomas, Tricky and even occasional frontman J.D. Fortune.

INXS tonight debuted the first track off their upcoming album of re-imagined hits, a new arrangement of ‘Kick’ smash ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ with Ben Harper filling in on lead vocals for the late Michael Hutchence.

The remaining members of INXS this week released a new 16-track digital-only best-of called ‘Platinum: Greatest Hits’ that will appeal to diehard fans mostly for the ample bonus it comes with: ‘Seriously Live,’ a 26-song double live album that spans the band’s 30-year career.
