Poptone — featuring Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins, plus Haskins’ daughter Diva Dompe — will release its debut album this June, a 13-song live radio session featuring performances of songs originally recorded by Tones on Tail, Love and Rockets and Bauhaus. For this week’s installment of Vintage Video, we present one of the more rare YouTube finds: video footage of a full performance by Love and Rockets. This is a nine-song festival set filmed in Santiago, Chile, in 1996 as the band was touring in support of that year’s Sweet F.A. album — and previewing material that would end up on Lift.

With just a few more show left this month, Poptone — the band featuring Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins that performs a Tones on Tail-heavy set, along with music by Bauhaus and Love and Rockets — has unveiled a new run of North American dates into December. See full dates here.

David J, the erstwhile bassist and Bauhaus and Love and Rockets, has been on the road for much of the year, playing full-band shows and incredibly intimate house concerts. Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins continue to expand their inaugural U.S. tour as Poptone — which will perform a Tones on Tail-heavy set, along with music by Bauhaus and Love and Rockets — with the addition today of much-anticipated East Coast dates in August.
