With Bob Mould’s birthday approaching — he’ll be 51 on Sunday — we thought we’d dedicate this installment of Vintage Video to the legendary Hüsker Dü. And so we present this fantastic footage of the trio powering through an hour-long set at London’s Camden Palace in 1985.

Bob Mould stops by the Chicago-based ‘Sound Opinions’ radio show this week to talk about his just-published autobiography ‘See A Little Light: The Trail of Rage and Melody,’ which covers his tenure in Hüsker Dü, Sugar and beyond. The show begins airing Friday on public radio stations across the U.S.

Sure, it was no Sugar reunion, but it was nice to see Bob Mould and The Roots jam through ‘Copper Blue’ stand-out ‘If I Can’t Change Your Mind’ on last night’s ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ — even if it was only a minute long.

Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore dropped by ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ last night to play a couple songs off his new solo album ‘Demolished Thoughts.’ Check out ‘Circulation’ and the web-only ‘Blood Never Lies.’
