Howard Jones will embark on a short North American tour this fall that will find the synthpop maestro performing his first two albums — 1984′s ‘Human’s Lib’ and 1985′s ‘Dream Into Action’ — in their entirety for the first time, incorporating the original multi-track recordings and newly commissioned visual components.
Duncan Sheik will reinterpret a dozen ’80s alternative and synthpop classics this June with the release of ‘Covers 80s,’ which will include new takes on old favorites by The Cure, Depeche Mode, New Order, Love and Rockets, The Smiths and more.
This week’s new releases include an expanded reissue of Ride’s debut ‘Nowhere’; a new Bob Geldof album called ‘How to Compose Popular Songs That Will Sell’; a new best-of from Propaganda’s Claudia Brücken (‘Combined’); a reissue of Howard Jones’ ‘The 12″ Album’; vinyl reissues of Bauhaus and Dead Can Dance; and a collection of ZTT 12-inch mixes.
