The Cure’s bassist Simon Gallup was unable to travel to Japan for the band’s set at the Fuji Rock Festival tonight due to a “serious personal situation,” but the show went on with a natural fill in: his son Eden Gallup, who’s also Simon’s bass tech and plays in the band Violet Vendetta. Nine Inch Nails’ full 90-minute set at Fuji Rock Festival ’13 — which saw the live debut of current single “Came Back Haunted” and the world premieres of two other songs off the forthcoming Hesitation Marks (“Copy of A,” “Find My Way”) — has hit the web, thanks to YouTube user mikezak4.

We’ve already speculated as to why there’s a good chance we’ll see The Cure and New Order on the bill of August’s Lollapalooza, and now comes a photo of what’s purported to be a poster featuring the Chicago festival’s yet-to-be-announced lineup, headlined by Robert Smith and Co.

The reunited Stone Roses — Ian Brown, John Squire, Gary “Mani” Mounfield and Alan “Reni” Wren — today announced they will headline the T in the Park Festival in the U.K., the Benicassim Festival in Spain and the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan next summer.

Andrew Eldritch will continue The Sisters of Mercy’s 30th anniversary tour with newly announced festival dates this summer and a pair of November concerts in Dublin and London — plus the goth-rock legends’ first-ever performance in Japan.
