ZTT Records next month will issue a new 2CD Frankie Goes to Hollywood compilation entitled Sexmix: Archive Tapes and Studio Adventures, Volume 1 that, as its name implies, pulls together “hundreds of miles of reels of tape, remixes, editions, edits and experiments” generated during the group’s “imperial reign” from 1983 to 1987.

Rewind Scotland — The ’80s Festival will return for a second year this July, featuring 24 acts spread over two days — including sets by Holly Johnson of Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Bronski Beat’s Jimmy Sommerville, Squeeze, Midge Ure, Lightning Seeds, Marc Almond, ABC and Roland Gift of Fine Young Cannibals.

This week’s new releases include an audiophile vinyl reissue of ‘Copper Blue,’ the debut from Bob Mould’s post-Husker Du power trio; The Japanese Popstars’ ‘Controlling Your Allegiance,’ featuring the single ‘Take Forever’ with The Cure’s Robert Smith; and a 2CD reissue of Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s ‘Liverpool.’

This week’s new releases include Bad Religion’s ’30th Anniversary Box Set,’ featuring 15 LPs on red vinyl; an audiophile vinyl reissue of Sonic Youth’s ‘Sister’; and a 2CD/1DVD reissue of Frankie Goes to Hollywood frontman Holly Johnson’s solo debut ‘Blast.’

This week’s new releases include reissues from Frankie Goes to Hollywood (‘Welcome to the Pleasuredome’), Buggles (‘Adventures in Modern Recording’), Madness (‘Absolutely,’ ‘7’), Julian Cope (‘Peggy Suicide’) and A Certain Ratio (‘Force’), plus a new Plimsouls live album from 1981.
