We finish out the Slicing Up Eyeballs Readers Poll 2012 by counting down your picks for the Top 10 live acts of the year, a list that includes The Jesus and Mary Chain, Peter Murphy, Dead Can Dance, The Fixx, The Cure, Bob Mould, Adam Ant, Duran Duran, New Order and Swans.

This week’s new releases include brand-new albums from Pet Shop Boys, David Byrne and St. Vincent and Tom Tom Club, plus reissues from The Stone Roses and Aztec Camera, a live CD/DVD of The English Beat’s US Festival performances, and best-ofs from Duran Duran and Propaganda.

Having already canceled three concerts this week over Nick Rhodes’ health, Duran Duran tonight scrapped the final three North American dates of its two-year world tour in support of All You Need Is Now — a trek that already suffered significant disruption last year when frontman Simon Le Bon lost his voice and was unable to perform.

The all-too-brief early ’80s career of synthpop duo Yazoo — comprised of singer Alison Moyet and former Depeche Mode member Vince Clarke — will be anthologized next month on a new 2CD set called ‘The Collection,’ which assembles singles, cuts from the band’s two albums and both vintage and recent remixes.

Duran Duran next month will receive its first-ever double-disc best-of, the 34-track ‘The Biggest and the Best,’ which covers the years 1981 through 1989, collecting 20 of the band’s Top 40 hits as well as some “key album tracks” — while also omitting some pretty sizable hits from the band’s early ’90s renaissance.

This week’s new releases include a new 5CD box set and single-disc best-of from The English Beat, a new album from Mission of Burma (‘Unsound’), a single from Ride’s Mark Gardener and Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins, a new Bananarama CD/DVD best-of and the U.S. release of Duran Duran’s ‘A Diamond in the Mind.’
