Slim Dunlap, who joined The Replacements following the expulsion of Bob Stinson and played guitar on the band’s last two albums, was hospitalized this week after suffering a “severe” stroke that has, according to his wife, left the 60-year-old partially paralyzed, but still ‘sharp and aware.’

The penultimate album by The Replacements — 1989’s ‘Don’t Tell a Soul’ — is set to be reissued on 180-gram audiophile vinyl by Original Recordings Group on Aug. 17 — the first time the long out-of-print album has appeared on vinyl since its original release.
