The Sisters of Mercy’s pandemic-interrupted tour — the band played right up through March 11, 2020 — is now set to resume later this year with a trio of 40th anniversary concerts in London followed by a 14-date run of shows in Europe in September and October. Full dates right here.

After spending much of the second half of 2019 on the road — a tour that spanned Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and South America — The Sisters of Mercy’ already are rolling out 2020 dates, with concerts slated for March and April in the U.K. and Europe. Full dates right here.

The John Darnielle-led Mountain Goats earlier this year released a concept album called Goths that was preceded by the first single “Andrew Eldritch is Moving Back to Leeds,” a notably un-gothlike song about the lead singer of The Sisters of Mercy. This week, they covered the Sisters’ 1987 classic “Lucretia My Reflection”

The Sisters of Mercy remain a fairly reliable touring unit these days, and 2017 is shaping up to be no different. Andrew Eldritch, Doktor Avalanche and the rest of the current lineup are slated to perform at the U.K.’s Beautiful Days Festival this August, followed by September headlining dates in London and Brussels.

The Sisters of Mercy this week announced a 12-date European tour in May ahead of that festival, a run of dates that will bring the goth-rock giants to Germany, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg and The Netherlands.

Andrew Eldritch is rolling out The Sisters of Mercy for at least one performance so far in 2014, with the band confirmed to play the Sonisphere festival at Knebworth Park, England, on July 5 in what appears to be the goth-rock legends’ first performance since the summer of 2012.
