With Alan Wilder and Vince Clarke on board, Depeche Mode fans are abuzz over the possibility that all five past and present members will appear on disc together for the first time on a new remix album reported to be in the works.

This week’s new releases include a new live CD/DVD set from Depeche Mode, the belated U.S. CD release of Nitzer Ebb’s ‘Industrial Complex,’ a new 2CD compilation from Einstürzende Neubauten and the 10th studio album from Meat Beat Manifesto.

In honor of Halloween, Sirius XM’s 1st Wave will expand this Sunday’s ‘Dark Wave’ to 12 full hours, a veritable ‘goth-a-thon’ promising ‘darker classic alternative music from artists like The Cure, Depeche Mode, Bauhaus, Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees and more.’

The first new album in a decade-and-a-half from electro-industrial powerhouse Nitzer Ebb finally will be released on CD in the U.S. next month — albeit in expanded fashion, with a new song and a handful of mixes thrown in — as the band embarks on a fall tour of North and South America.

While it wasn’t quite as momentous as last February’s performance of ‘Somebody’ at London’s Royal Albert Hall, former Depeche Mode bandmates Alan Wilder and Martin Gore teamed once again up last night, with Gore appearing as a post-show DJ at Wilder’s Recoil performance in Santa Ana, Calif.

High points of tonight’s ‘Dark Wave’ on Sirius XM’s 1st Wave include Depeche Mode’s greatest B-side (‘Dangerous’), a rare album cut off Morrissey’s solo debut ‘Viva Hate’ (‘Dial-A-Cliché’) and the opening cut from The Jesus and Mary Chain’s third album, ‘Automatic’ (‘Here Comes Alice’).
