This week’s new releases include brand-new studio albums from Depeche Mode, Wire, The House of Love, Edwyn Collins, Crime & The City Solution and The Wonder Stuff, plus the U.S. release of The Waterboys’ 2011 record, new compilations from Simple Minds, Midge Ure and the Primitives, and Transvision Vamp reissues.
Following live previews of some of the album’s songs last week and a leak of the full record on Sunday, Depeche Mode is now streaming its forthcoming LP Delta Machine, for free on iTunes one full week ahead of its release. The record’s out in North America next Tuesday, but check it out now.
“Soothe My Soul,” the anticipated second single from Depeche Mode’s upcoming album Delta Machine, was given a world-premiere airing this morning in the U.K. on Shaun Keaveny’s show on BBC Radio 6 — and, not surprisingly, DM fans were ready to record the track. You can hear it right here.
Depeche Mode tonight formally launched its new album Delta Machine with the kick-off performance of the 2013 season of the “Live on Letterman” concert series, playing a live concert that was webcast on CBS.com and VEVO — and for those who were in the Big Apple, it also was shown live in Times Square.
Depeche Mode is set to stream its “Live From Letterman” concert from New York at 8 p.m. EDT tonight, but, in the meantime, here’s a little something to tide fans over: A brand-new video from Soulsavers featuring Dave Gahan on lead vocals, a clip for the track “Take” off last year’s ‘The Light the Dead See.’
Depeche Mode’s visit to Austin, Texas, next week for the South By Southwest Music Festival won’t just be all-talk: The band today announced that, in addition to its Q&A session about upcoming album ‘Delta Machine,’ it will perform its first-ever showcase at the annual music festival on Friday, March 15.
