This week’s new releases include a brand-new album from BoDeans (‘Indigo Dreams’), plus a live DVD from The Wedding Present (‘Drive’), a new Housemartins best-of (‘Happy Hour: The Collection’) and reissues of Dead Can Dance’s ‘Aion’ and Christian Death’s ‘Only Theatre of Pain.’

This week’s new releases include the expanded 25th anniversary reissue of R.E.M.’s ‘Lifes Rich Pageant,’ plus Dead Can Dance’s 4LP ‘Box Set II’ and ‘Weird Pop,’ the brand-new double-vinyl best-of from Bauhaus spin-off Tones on Tail.

Dead Can Dance will reunite for the second time since disbanding in the late 1990s to record its first new album in 16 years and set out next year on an ‘extensive two-month world tour including dates in Asia, Australasia and South America,’ the band announced this week.

This week’s new releases include a brand-new album from The Smithereens (‘Smithereens 2011′), INXS’ collection of re-recorded hits (‘Original Sin’), reissues of Material Issue (‘International Pop Overthrow’), The Art of Noise (‘Into Battle With…’), Sebadoh (‘Bakesale’) and Dead Can Dance (‘Spiritchaser’).

His planned tour with Peter Murphy ended in nasty name-calling, but former Dead Can Dance member Brendan Perry has tapped another storied contemporary to join him on a just-announced 13-date North American tour: ex-Cocteau Twins member Robin Guthrie.

This week’s new releases include an expanded reissue of Ride’s debut ‘Nowhere’; a new Bob Geldof album called ‘How to Compose Popular Songs That Will Sell’; a new best-of from Propaganda’s Claudia Brücken (‘Combined’); a reissue of Howard Jones’ ‘The 12″ Album’; vinyl reissues of Bauhaus and Dead Can Dance; and a collection of ZTT 12-inch mixes.

Peter Murphy will tour the U.S. in March and April, hitting, at a minimum, cities on the East and West coasts, with at least one Texas stop in between, judging from preliminary dates we’ve been able to assemble from venue and ticketing websites.
