Martin Gore isn’t the only Depeche Mode member who’s been busy during the band’s downtime: Frontman Dave Gahan has lent his well-known voice to electronic project Soulsavers for that group’s fourth album, ‘The Light the Dead See’ — and he’s already talking about making more music and touring with the group.

For fans of Depeche Mode’s 1989 concert documentary ‘101,’ here’s a real treat: An eight-minute promo reel of director D.A. Former Depeche Mode member Alan Wilder is auctioning off a treasure trove of studio equipment, records and other memorabilia that spans his tenure with the synthpop group — including everything from Dave Gahan’s custom mic stands from the Devotional Tour to a pair of the keyboardist’s trousers.

The much-anticipated Depeche Mode collection ‘Remixes 2: 81-11’ is out in the U.S. today, and to promote the release, frontman Dave Gahan dropped by the studios of New York’s WNYC last week for a segment on the station’s ‘Soundcheck’ show.

Grunge survivors Stone Temple Pilots are among the less likely candidates to cover Depeche Mode, but here’s frontman Scott Weiland channeling his inner Dave Gahan to perform the ‘Black Celebration’-era ‘But Not Tonight’ after shilling his new autobiography on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ last Friday.

Short Circuit Presents Mute wrapped up last night in London with a Vince Clarke extravaganza, which included a set with Erasure, an appearance by Alison Moyet for what might have been Yazoo’s final performance and a surprise reunion with Feargal Sharkey to play the lone single the duo recorded as The Assembly.
