Former Talking Heads member Jerry Harrison and sideman Adrian Belew have expanded their tour performing the band’s classic 1980 album Remain In Light.

A new 10-part podcast series from California public radio mainstay KCRW celebrates ’80s college-rock era host Deirdre O’Donoghue and her archive of in-studio performances.

For this week’s installment of “120 Minutes” Rewind, we present this clip from the Oct. 10, 1993, episode featuring Concrete Blonde offering a stripped-down performance of the group’s cover of the Leonard Cohen favorite “Everybody Knows” — famous, of course, for its appearance in the pirate-radio film “Pump Up the Volume.”

Concrete Blonde — featuring the longtime core of singer/bassist Johnette Napolitano and guitarist James Mankey — will embark on a nine-date, pre-Christmas U.S. tour next month, and may stage a New Year’s Eve concert in Los Angeles, according to its publicist.

Tonight’s ‘Dark Wave’ on Sirius XM’s 1st Wave featured a number of welcome detours, lesser-played tracks from the program’s regular crop of artists, including The Church’s ‘Tantalized,’ Depeche Mode’s ‘Nothing’ and Concrete Blonde’s ‘Darkening of the Light.’

As promised, Sirius XM’s classic-alternative hub 1st Wave celebrated Halloween on Sunday by devoting half the day to a hugely expanded 12-hour version of its weekly ‘Dark Wave’ show.
