This week’s new releases include the brand-new studio album from Morrissey (‘World Peace is None of Your Business’) as well as vinyl reissues from Cocteau Twins, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Spiritualized, plus the digital release of the classic Talking Heads concert film ‘Stop Making Sense.’

Cocteau Twins guitarist Robin Guthrie and Ride frontman Mark Gardener have completed their long-in-the-works album together — a collaboration they debuted with their 2012 single “The Places We Go” — and will release the record worldwide this September, Gardener announced this week.

This week’s new releases include the physical release of Morrissey’s new single on 7-inch and 12-inch vinyl, plus the debut album from Snowbird, the new project featuring the Cocteau Twins’ Simon Raymonde and Massive Attack collaborator Stephanie Dosen.

For this week’s “120 Minutes” Rewind, we present this quite awkward interview of Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau Twins during a 1994 appearance to promote the release of Four-Calendar Cafe. Guthrie admits to host Lewis Largent that it’s his first-ever U.S. television appearance.

Legendary independent record label 4AD — home in the ’80s and ’90s to the Pixies, Cocteau Twins, This Mortal Coil, Throwing Muses and so many more — will be the subject an exhaustive history this fall with the publication of Martin Aston’s new book “Facing the Other Way: The Story of 4AD.”

The makers of the upcoming documentary “Eternity Road: The Story of Lowlife” — chronicling the cult Scottish band that formed in 1984 and released its final album a decade later — promise to expose “the greatest post-punk band you never heard” through rare footage and interviews with band members.
