Blondie is gearing up to hit the road this fall with special guest X in tow, and, in announcing that tour, Debbie Harry and Co. revealed their 10th studio album is due out by the end of the year. Well, now comes the first music from that forthcoming record: “A Rose By Any Name,” featuring The Gossip frontwoman Beth Ditto.

Blondie will tour the U.S. this September and October with special guest X in tow, an 18-date trek dubbed the “No Principals Tour” that will include, with the purchase of each ticket, downloads of five exclusive new songs off Debbie Harry and Co.’s forthcoming 10th studio album.

Chicago’s Riot Fest — set for Sept. 13-15 in the Windy City’s Humboldt Park — tonight unveiled its jam-packed lineup, which includes Violent Femmes, Blondie, Black Flag spinoff FLAG, Motorhead, Bad Religion, Dinosaur Jr, X, Bob Mould, Bad Brains, The Selecter, Mission of Burma and more.

Blondie performed a 45-minute concert in New York City today that was webcast as part of the YouTube Presents series — and the video is still up at YouTube, so feel free to relieve the experience right here. As an added bonus, the band released three brand-new studio tracks that are free for the downloading (or streaming).

Blondie and Devo last night wrapped up their joint U.S. tour with a concert at the Chicago Theatre, and Debbie Harry marked the occasion today by tweeting this photo of the two bands backstage together. Blondie still has a few scattered U.S. dates planned in the coming weeks.
