As one of our readers noted this morning, Morrissey finally got the answer to the question he posed of Margaret Thatcher in his controversial Viva Hate closer “Margaret on the Guillotine”: “When will you die?” The former British prime minister passed away today at age 87.

The lineup for this summer’s Glastonbury festival was announced today, and it’s an utter monstrosity, with headliners The Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys and Mumford & Sons joined by a seemingly endless list of bands, including Primal Scream, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Elvis Costello, Billy Bragg and more.

This week’s new releases include ‘Ultramarine,’ the first new album from The Ocean Blue in a decade, plus new studio albums from Billy Bragg (‘Tooth & Nail’) and former Kraftwerk member Karl Bartos (‘Off the Record’), as well as an expanded reissue of Inspiral Carpets’ 1990 debut ‘Life.’

Billy Bragg today announced he’ll release his first new album in five years this in March — the Joe Henry-produced ‘Tooth & Nail,’ which he compares to his ‘Mermaid Avenue records’ with Wilco — and then follow that with an extensive North American tour that’ll keep him on the road until early May.
