While New Order’s set at Lollapalooza in Chicago was not part of the festival’s webcast last night, those watching the livestream did catch a glimpse of Bernard Sumner when he joined The Killers onstage — as he’s been known to do in the past — to help the band perform its souped-up cover of Joy Division’s “Shadowplay.”

With New Order about halfway through a short North American tour, frontman Bernard Sumner today announced on the band’s website that he has suffered a fractured leg, and while he says he is in pain on stage and “physically unable to give it my all,” the group is not canceling the remainder of its tour.
