Members of The Call have assembled in a California recording studio to finish unreleased material from the band’s vaults for an album called The Lost Tapes.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club this week released the first single off their upcoming seventh album, ‘Specter at the Feast,’ as a free MP3 — and, perhaps not surprisingly, it’s a cover of “Let the Day Begin,” the classic 1989 single by The Call, whose frontman, the late Michael Been, is the father of BRMC’s Robert Levon Been.
