Back in 2008, the BBC first aired an hour-long radio documentary on the life and work of post-punk guitar legend John McGeoch, who played with Siouxsie and the Banshees, Public Image Ltd. and Magazine, among others. Paul Weller dropped by BBC’s ‘Later… with Jools Holland’ last night to perform two tracks — ‘The Attic’ and ‘Kling I Klang’ — off his just-released new solo album ‘Sonik Kicks,’ both of which you can see via the clips posted here. Weller is due on these shores later next month to play a pair of gigs in New York City and one in Toronto.

On Friday night, John Lydon’s reconstituted Public Image Ltd. performed at the 10th anniversary concert in London for BBC’s 6 Music, and, in the process, debuted two tracks — “Deeper Water” and the single “One Drop,” which has been aired on U.K. radio — off the group’s forthcoming album ‘This Is PiL.’

Morrissey debuted three new songs — ‘Action Is My Middle Name,’ ‘The Kid’s A Looker’ and ‘People Are The Same Everywhere’ — in a live session recorded last week and broadcast tonight on Janice Long’s late-night show on BBC Radio 2. Hear all three here.

The first and second albums from classic synthpop duo Erasure — 1986’s ‘Wonderland’ and 1987’s ‘The Circus’ — will be reissued this summer in deluxe 2CD/1DVD packages stuffed with remixes, B-sides, live sessions, music videos, TV performances and concert footage.
