Two key drummers of the early post-punk era — The Cure’s Lol Tolhurst and Budgie of Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Creatures — have formed a new band called LXB that could release its already-recorded debut album before the end of this year, the two announced during an interview on Sirius XM’s Volume.

Bauhaus issued a statement Tuesday assuring fans they are “working diligently” to reschedule the remainder of the band’s planned 2020 reunion shows, with the group looking forward “so very much to playing again as soon as it is possible to do so.” Full details right here.

Goldenvoice, the event’s promoter, today announced the inaugural Los Angeles-based festival with the ’80s-heavy bill — Morrissey, Bauhaus, Blondie and Devo — is being moved to Sept. 12 from May 2 over concerns about the spread of the coronavirus. The inaugural Cruel World music festival that boasted a bill topped by ’80s alternative stalwarts Morrissey, Bauhaus, Blondie, Devo and Echo & The Bunnymen appears to have been postponed indefinitely in response to the coronavirus outbreak in the United States, but promoters have barely communicated anything to ticketholders.

The coronavirus pandemic is wreaking havoc on live music across the globe, with giant festivals — including Coachella and South By Southwest — postponed or canceled and tours in the U.S. and around the world being canceled or curtailed in an effort to protect large crowds from transmitting COVID-19.

Beggars Banquet will reissue the lone studio album from Bauhaus offshoot Tones on Tail — 1984’s nine-song set Pop — for the first time ever on Record Store Day, packing the album in a new sleeve featuring revised artwork and silver foil text. Full details and tracklist right here.
