The Beggars Arkive imprint will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Bauhaus this fall with limited-edition, colored-vinyl reissues of the pioneering goth-rock band’s first four studio albums, as well as its 1982 live set Press Eject and Give Me the Tape and the Crackle best-of. As part of the commemoration of the band’s 40th anniversary, Bauhaus is releasing a five-song EP recorded at the band’s first studio session on Jan. 26, 1979 — a collection that includes “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” and three previously on released recordings. Full details right here.

As promised last month, Peter Murphy will embark on a world tour later this year with former bandmate David J to celebrate 40 years of their former band Bauhaus, a tour that will see the duo performing In the Flat Field in full in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the U.K. See full dates right here.

Peter Murphy — still unable to get a visa to come to the U.S. from Turkey — today announced he’s rescheduling his long-planned San Francisco residency for the third time, moving the concerts, which had been scheduled to start later this month, to March 2019. Having just completed a run of West Coast dates, and with their debut album due out next month, Poptone — Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins, plus Haskins’ daughter Diva Dompe — have just rolled out more North American tour dates, a nine-concert run this summer that’ll see the band hitting the Midwest and East Coast.

With their former bandmates off performing together as Poptone, the other half of Bauhaus — Peter Murphy and David J — reunited on stage today at a festival in Mexico to perform a set of Bauhaus classics ahead of their rescheduled run of shows in San Francisco this summer. See video footage here.
