A four-song EP of Joy Division re-recordings that Peter Hook had planned to release this week has been delayed by unspecified legal issues, the bassist said today in an announcement that suggests the release may never see the light of day.

To promote the release of its new ‘Twist of Fate’ digital remix bundle, Bad Lieutenant — featuring New Order frontman Bernard Sumner — is offering up a free download of a bonus mix not included on the five-track EP: Mark Reeder’s No Fate Radio Remix

The folks at 24 Hour Service Station, who are putting out Peter Hook’s Freebass project here in the U.S., will provide three lucky Slicing Up Eyeballs readers with a copy of the band’s debut CD, ‘It’s a Beautiful Life.’
