With the first set of The Jesus and Mary Chain’s deluxe much-anticipated 2CD/1DVD reissues due to roll out in less than a month, the band — which recently staked its ground on Facebook and Twitter — is offering interactive 3-D previews, complete with audio samples, of each of its six albums.

The Jesus and Mary Chain’s six studio albums will be reissued this fall in expanded 2CD/1DVD packages that include B-sides, live sessions, TV appearances and rare material such as rejected early B-side ‘Jesus Fuck’ and a newly discovered recording of ‘Darklands’ with an added string section.

This week’s new releases include ‘Move Like This,’ the first new album from The Cars in 24 years; ‘Upside Down: The Creation Records Story’ on DVD and Blu-ray, plus a 2CD soundtrack; vinyl reissues of The Jesus and Mary Chain’s ‘Automatic’ and ‘Honey’s Dead’; and budget-priced The The and Psychedelic Furs best-ofs.

High points of tonight’s ‘Dark Wave’ on Sirius XM’s 1st Wave include Depeche Mode’s greatest B-side (‘Dangerous’), a rare album cut off Morrissey’s solo debut ‘Viva Hate’ (‘Dial-A-Cliché’) and the opening cut from The Jesus and Mary Chain’s third album, ‘Automatic’ (‘Here Comes Alice’).

The week’s new releases include a host of reissues from the likes of The Church (‘Of Skins and Heart,’ ‘The Blurred Crusade’), The Soft Boys (‘A Can of Bees,’ ‘Underwater Moonlight’), Dexys Midnight Runners (‘Searching for the Young Soul Rebels’), Gary Numan (‘Automatic’), The Wedding Present (‘Live 1989’) and Nick Heyward (‘North of a Miracle’).
