Al Jourgensen’s newly reformed Ministry next week will release ‘Relapse,’ the band’s first new album in five years, and they’re promoting it with a new music video for pro-Occupy Wall Street single ’99 Percenters’ (‘1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 99 percent!’), which you can see here via Revolver.

For fans of Ministry’s early synthpop incarnation, here’s a real treat: Four tracks recorded live in Chicago at the short-lived Misfits club in March 1982, the earliest known live recordings of Al Jourgensen and Co. made nearly 30 years ago — and long before the group morphed into an industrial giant and then near-metal act.

This week’s new releases include reissues of 10 albums by Public Image Ltd., plus John Lydon’s 1997 solo album, as well as reissue of the first three Modern English albums, a digital-only Bauhaus live album and the long-awaited debut by Buck Satan and the 666 Shooters, aka Ministry’s Al Jourgensen and guests such as Rick Neilsen of Cheap Trick.

Al Jourgensen’s newly reformed Ministry will release its first original music in four years later this week in the form of the pro-Occupy Wall Street single ’99 Percenters,’ which will go on sale digitally on Friday and then be streamed from the industrial juggernaut’s Facebook page beginning Christmas Day.

Al Jourgensen not only has reactivated Ministry for a new album and tour next summer, but he’s decided to chronicle the recording of the ‘Relapse’ record with a series of short ‘webisodes,’ the first of which can be watched here. The album is due out in spring, with a limited number of U.S. dates next summer.

Al Jourgensen today announced the brief U.S. leg of the reactivated Ministry’s upcoming Relapse Tour 2012, five concerts in just four cities — Denver, Los Angeles, New York and Chicago — with no plans to add additional American destinations to the trek.

Al Jourgensen has reunited Ministry three years after vowing he was finished with the industrial-metal juggernaut, and says he’ll record and release a new album dubbed ‘Relapse’ before the end of the year and play a limited run of U.S. and European concerts in 2012.
