Erasure records original songs, ‘seasonal classics’ for new holiday album ‘Snow Globe’

Synthpop duo Erasure will get festive this fall with a brand-new holiday album called Snow Globe that will include both original compositions and “seasonal classics” — a collection that singer Andy Bell says led him to rediscover his “inner choirboy.” The album is set to be released Nov. 11.

Kate Bush today announced that she’ll participate in next month’s fifth-anniversary installment of Record Store Day by releasing a limited-edition, two-track 10-inch vinyl picture disc featuring the songs ‘Lake Tahoe’ and ‘Among the Angels,’ both of which can be found on her 2011 studio album ’50 Words for Snow.’

Kate Bush this week released the latest ‘animation’ made for one of the tracks off her latest album, ’50 Words for Snow.’ Set to a five-minute segment of the ethereal song ‘Lake Tahoe,’ the clip — called ‘Eider Falls at Lake Tahoe’ — illustrates, with shadow puppets, the song’s story of a spirit woman looking for her lost dog.
