The popular 33 1/3 book series — self-described as “short books about albums” — will feature an installment by Australian music professor Samantha Bennett to be published this fall about Siouxsie and the Banshees’ 1988 album Peepshow. The 160-page book, which can be pre-ordered now, will be out Oct. 18.

The next book in the ever-expanding 33⅓ series of album dissections finds celebrated novelist Jonathan Lethem tackling Talking Heads’ 1979 classic ‘Fear of Music’ — and while the 160-page book won’t arrive until later this month, you can now read the first 23 pages online.

After some delay, the 33⅓ book series — pocket-sized titles that dissect one classic album at a time — will publish its much-anticipated title on Nine Inch Nails’ 1989 debut ‘Pretty Hate Machine’ in March.
