For this week’s “120 Minutes” Rewind, we present what appears to be a standalone special of some sort looking back on the career of Peter Murphy — or “Pete” Murphy, as he’s repeatedly ID’d on screen —following the release of ‘Deep.’ Uploader Darkresource lists this as a “120 Minutes” special that aired on May 18, 1990,

Daniel Ash — he of ’80s darkwave trifecta Bauhaus, Tones on Tail and Love and Rockets — turns 54 today, and to mark the occasion, we present this little nugget: It’s a promo for MTV’s ‘120 Minutes’ featuring a cue-card reading Ash and his Love and Rockets bandmates David J and Kevin Haskins that aired sometime around 1986.

New York rockers Bones Howell claim to draw on punk and goth influences, and they certainly aren’t afraid to show off that inspiration on a new 7-inch that arrives this week and features both a cover of Bauhaus’ ‘Hair of the Dog’ and a remix of their own song ‘Nephritis’ by none other than Daniel Ash, Bauhaus’ guitarist.

For a band with just one album and a handful of EPs and singles, Bauhaus spinoff Tones on Tail already has been the subject of more than its share of compilations, and now comes another: ‘Weird Pop,’ a double-vinyl best-of that features at least one previously unreleased cut and several other rarities.
