The Pixies this morning announced “two very special, fan exclusive shows” at The Troxy in London on June 3 and 4, and are offering a free download of live audio and video of ‘Doolittle’ track ‘La La Love You.’

Gary Numan cancels Coachella set, postpones San Francisco, Los Angeles concerts

That billowing Icelandic volcano continues to wreak havoc on U.K. touring musicians, as Gary Numan — unable to fly out of England or elsewhere in Europe — today pulled the plug on his appearance at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival tonight and two sold-out concerts planned for Los Angeles and San Francisco next week.

It’s week four of Beck’s Record Club’s full-album cover of the INXS smash ‘Kick,’ which means it’s time for the disc’s monster hit: ‘Need You Tonight.’ For this cut, Beck and his cohorts — St. Vincent, Liars and Os Mutantes — give the No. 1 hit a dark, slinky makeover, relying mainly on bass and live electronic percussion, and only touching on the song’s signature guitar riff briefly.
