With its first new album in 14 years due in stores later this year, reformed British synthpop outfit Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark — now featuring its classic ’80s lineup — this week announced a 19-date tour of the U.K. and Europe this fall.

The Psychedelic Furs will follow their upcoming American tour by returning to the U.K. this fall for a short run of dates that will see the band performing its 1981 album ‘Talk Talk Talk’ in its entirety, plus ‘an encore set of some of their other classics.’

Archetypal New Wave nerds Devo this week finally unveiled the tracklist for this summer’s ‘Something for Everybody’ — the band’s first new album in 20 years — after doing alleged audience research through its ‘Song Study’ website.

Last night, bassist Peter Hook marked the 30th anniversary of Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis’ death by performing the band’s 1979 debut ‘Unknown Pleasures’ in its entirety — plus assorted other Joy Division and Warsaw songs — at his Manchester club FAC251 The Factory.

As promised, L.A. punk legends Bad Religion this week have released a free downloadable live album — the 17-track ’30 Years Live’ — for fans who sign up for the band’s mailing list.

And now on to Side 2: Beck and his Record Club gang — St. Vincent, Liars and Os Mutantes — return today with the latest installment in their full-album cover of INXS’ 1987 hit ‘Kick’: ‘Wild Life.’

We mark today’s 30th anniversary of Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis’ death by posting this clip of what’s arguably his most transcendent moment: ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart,’ appearing here in a version recorded Nov. 26, 1979, for a Peel session — the first time the song ever was recorded.
