Squeeze adds post-Coachella concerts with English Beat, eyes June tour with B-52s

Squeeze will take advantage of their booking at the newly expanded two-weekend Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival to book a short run of California dates around the fest this April, plus at least one East Coast concert later in the month with contemporaries Dave Wakeling and The English Beat.

The Elvis Costello box set that the singer himself railed against last fall has actually increased in price over the intervening months — Amazon.com now lists it at $280, up from $260 — but, as promised, fans soon will be able to spend $257.35 less for a slimmed-down repackaging of the set.

The Raincoats to follow All Tomorrow’s Parties appearance with 5-date U.S. tour

The Raincoats — who, like The Vaselines, enjoyed a ’90s career renaissance thanks to Kurt Cobain’s fandom — will follow up their appearance at the Jeff Mangum-curated All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in the U.K. with an appearance at the 35 Denton festival in Texas and a short run of West Coast dates.
