Mission of Burma are previewing their new album Unsound with a double A-side digital single that’s due out June 25, two weeks before the record arrives. We’ve already brought you a stream of one side, ‘Dust Devil,’ a Roger Miller-penned track. So here’s the flip side: Clint Conley’s ‘Second Television.’

This week’s installment of The AV Club’s Undercover 2012 series finds mash-up stars The Hood Internet doing a number on The Pretenders’ 1982 single ‘Back on the Chain Gang,’ slowing it down and punching it up with samples of rappers Rick Ross and Gucci Mane.

Tonight’s episode of Slicing Up Eyeballs featured brand-new and previously unreleased music from The dB’s, Ian McCulloch and The Beat, plus old favorites from The Go-Betweens, The Stone Roses, Hoodoo Gurus, A Certain Ratio, The Mission, Rain Parade, Billy Bragg and more.

With Morrissey’s libel case against the NME slated to go to trial in a month, the music weekly today apologized to the singer, writing, ‘We wish to make clear that we do not believe that he is a racist; we didn’t think we were saying he was and we apologise to Morrissey if he or anyone else misunderstood our piece in that way.’

Since announcing their reunion, The Stone Roses have booked dates across Europe and into the Far East, yet no official mention has been made of North American concerts. According to a fan at this weekend’s Barcelona tour kickoff, though, John Squire confirmed the Roses will play the U.S. ‘next year.’
