Boston post-punk legends Mission of Burma will release Unsound — their fifth studio album and fourth post-reunion effort — next Tuesday, but the folks at Fire Records are launching the record early on Spotify. If you’re registered with the streaming service, you should be able to listen to the full 11-track album via the player here.

Peter Hook will follow up his 2009 memoir ‘The Hacienda: How Not to Run a Club’ this fall with a new book that purports to tell ‘the definitive story of Joy Division’ by offering a behind-the-scenes look into the band’s ‘friendships and fall-outs, their rehearsals and recording sessions,’ as well as the suicide of Ian Curtis and its aftermath.

In August 2010, Beggars Archive announced a series of This Mortal Coil reissues, including a CD box set, new vinyl editions of the collective’s three albums and a Blu-ray disc that was to feature all three records in high-def stereo. Nearly two years later, the box set and vinyl reissues are out, but not the Blu-ray.

Beacon Audio recently launched a new video interview series and one of their latest installments features Dave Wakeling of The English Beat, who, in this five-minute clip, discusses the longevity of the Beat, how he learned to play guitar completely wrong (he’s right-handed, but plays as a lefty) and his favorite part of a concert.
