With the 15th anniversary of Michael Hutchence’s death approaching later this month, INXS took to the stage in Perth, Australia, on Sunday night for what appears to be the final time, as Australian media are reporting that drummer Jon Farriss announced during the concert that it would be the band’s last-ever performance.
Morrissey today unveiled a new U.S. tour next year that includes 24 dates rescheduled from his postponed fall tour (two shows are not being made up) plus eight newly added concerts in New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas. Plus, Moz’s big L.A. arena show now features Patti Smith as guest rather The Stooges.

After postponing 26 shows to return to England to see his ailing mother, Morrissey is expected to announce his rescheduled North American tour on Monday, but a number of new U.S. dates already have surfaced online, including the tour’s highest-profile gig: an arena concert in Los Angeles.

Last week came news that classic college-rock combo Camper Van Beethoven is set to return early next year its first album in more than eight years, and now we’ve got our first taste of ‘La Costa Perdida’ in the form of the song “Northern California Girls,” which premiered this week at Billboard.com.
