Reformed post-punk legends Mission of Burma hit the West Coast of the U.S. later this week for a four-date tour that includes an appearance at Seattle’s Bumbershoot festival, and, ahead of that, they’ve treated fans to a bit of new music in the form of this rehearsal video.

As promised earlier this month, cancellation-prone Morrissey is returning to the road this fall — he’s just announced 18 new tour dates in Europe this October and November — although that trek now comes in support of an album that no longer has a record label or is even available digitally.

This week’s new releases include new studio albums from Robyn Hitchcock (“The Man Upstairs”) and Dinosaur Jr’s J Mascis (“Tied to a Star”), plus the U.S. release of Wire’s “Document and Eyewitness” reissue, a 4CD Eyeless in Gaza box set and a vinyl reissue from Lydia Lunch and Rowland S. Howard.

Tonight’s edition of “Dark Wave” on Sirius XM’s 1st Wave featured music from Shriekback, The Teardrop Explodes, Samhain, Coil, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Wire, David J, Lydia Lunch, Skinny Puppy, Colourbox, Joy Division, Front Line Assembly and more.

With Kate Bush set to take the stage this week in London for her first full concerts in 35 years, the BBC on Friday night aired an hour-long documentary “The Kate Bush Story: Running Up That Hill,” featuring archival footage, plus new interviews with fans including John Lydon, Elton John and more.

As we first reported last month, the final four titles in Siouxsie and the Banshees’ catalog (1987′s Through the Looking Glass 1988′s Peepshow, 1991′s Superstition and 1995′s The Rapture) finally will receive expanded-and-remastered CD reissues — and today the band itself announced a new, confirmed release date of Oct. 13.

Echo & The Bunnymen this week wrapped up their U.S. tour in support of brand-new album Meteorites, and capped the trek with a return appearance on “Late Night with David Letterman” last night that saw the band performing that album’s “Holy Moses” for a national TV audience.
