Post-punk legends act Wire have served up the second taste of their upcoming 15th studio album, Silver/Lead, in the form of mid-tempo rocker “Diamonds and Cups” — which premiered last week at Stereogum, and can be heard here. The band’s new album arrives March 31.

This week’s new releases include a 6-disc Kitchens of Distinction box set, a new live album from Bauhaus frontman Peter Murphy, a Marc Amond/Soft Cell best-of, a remixed edition of Soundgarden’s debut album ‘Ultramega OK,’ and a new solo album from Bad Religion frontman Greg Graffin.

“Dark Wave,” hosted by Slicing Up Eyeballs’ Matt Sebastian, airs 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. EST every Sunday on Sirius XM satellite radio’s 1st Wave (Channel 33). The most recent two episodes also are available via Sirius XM’s On Demand service for online subscribers.

There’s a new documentary about XTC in the works that’s currently titled “This Is Pop,” and a 6-minute, 20-second trailer for the film — featuring archival footage of the band and much screen time by frontman Andy Partridge — has made its way online. You can watch the whole thing here.

Tears For Fears will join Hall & Oates — now more formally known as Daryl Hall & John Oates — for a 29-date North American co-headlining tour that will keep the two duos on the road playing arenas, plus a few concerts outdoors, from early May until late July. Tickets for most shows go on sale March 10.
