Gary Numan will embark on a second North American tour this fall in support of last year’s Savage: Songs From a Broken World, a 27-date trek — 26 headlining shows, plus a yet-to-be-announced festival slot — that will keep him on the road from early September into early October. The Psychedelic Furs continue to expand their summer touring plans, having just announced six more U.S. shows in late July and August, including two at which the band will share the bill with X, and another that also will feature contemporaries The Fixx. As hinted at over the weekend, Simple Minds today announced a rare North American tour that will hit 24 cities in September and October, the most extensive touring the band has done in the U.S. and Canada in more than 30 years. The tour opens Sept. 24 in Bethlehem, Pa., and runs through Oct. 29 in Vancouver, B.C.

British publisher Faber Social has announced it will release a new memoir penned by Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club drummer Chris Frantz called “Remain in Love” in the spring of 2020 to coincide with the 40th anniversary that year of the band’s renowned fourth album Remain in Light.
