Just a week into his The The comeback tour, bandleader Matt Johnson was hit with devastating news today as he learned that his 86-year-old father, Edward Charles Johnson, had died, according to a statement posted to the band’s official Facebook page. Read the full statement here.
The self-titled debut album from The Lords of the New Church — the fabled post-punk act featuring Stiv Bators of the Dead Boys and The Damned’s Brian James — will be reissued this summer in a new expanded edition featuring bonus B-sides and a live album recorded in New York in 1982.
