Having just wrapped up their first leg Down Under, former bandmates Peter Murphy and David J today announced a 30-date North American segment of their tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of Bauhaus — a trek that’ll see the duo performing In the Flat Field in full. Turns out Elizabeth Fraser’s brief re-emergence last month was no fluke: The Cocteau Twins singer is going on tour with Massive Attack next year as the trip-hop group celebrates the 21st anniversary of Mezzanine — which featured Fraser on three songs, including “Teardrop.” Full details right here.
Ian Brown, the once-again-former lead singer of The Stone Roses, will release his first new solo album in a decade next year, a 10-song collection called Ripples that is preceded by the release of lead-off single, and lead-off track, “First World Problems” — which you can hear right here.

Back in 2013, former Oingo Boingo frontman Danny Elfman sang in concert for the first time since that band’s demise in 1995, taking the mic during an orchestral performance of some of the beloved film scores he’s composed for director Tim Burton’s work. He did it again this weekend, and sang an Oingo Boingo song, too.
Ten years into their current reunion, The Specials have announced they’ll release a new album titled Encore next year, the band’s first collection of original material in two decades and its first recordings with original lead singer Terry Hall since the 1981 single “Ghost Town.” Full details, including tracklist, right here.
