It took The Cravats — skronky veterans of U.K. punk’s fabled Class of 1977 — some 37 years to follow up their debut album The Cravats in Toytown with sophomore LP Dustbin of Sound. But fans need not wait anywhere near that long for album No. 3, which we here at Slicing Up Eyeballs are thrilled to premiere in full today.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Depeche Mode continues its celebration of the 12-inch single with the latest in its series of vinyl box sets, this one celebrating 1990’s mammoth Violator album with a 10-disc collection of the various 12-inches released to promote that record. David Byrne returned to “Saturday Night Live” last night for his third appearance in four decades, performing the Talking Heads classic “Once in a Lifetime” and the far more obscure cut “Toe Jam,” which he recorded in 2008 with Fatboy Slim’s The Brighton Port Authority project.
