The live album recorded at Galaxie 500’s final European show — Dec. 1, 1990 in Copenhagen — will be reissued in a special 2LP vinyl edition for Record Store Day, with its nine songs stretched over three sides and a special etching filling out the fourth side of the vinyl. Full details right here.
New Order will release a new vinyl pressing of the group’s 1982 studio session with legendary BBC broadcaster John Peel on Record Store Day this year, complete with what is being advertised as a new sleeve created by the band’s longtime graphic designer Peter Saville. Full details right here.
No stranger to Record Store Day exclusives, The Cure will participate this year by issuing 40th and 20th anniversary editions, respectively, of Seventeen Seconds and Bloodflowers. Both will be 12-inch vinyl picture discs, with download cards, and available in both the U.S. and U.K. Full details right here.

Matt Johnson this week announced he’ll release a new 7-inch by The The for Record Store Day next month, a single called “I WANT 2 B U” that finds the musician writing and recording with the “quirky Omnichord instrument” for the first time since he used in on 1983’s “This Is the Day.” Hear a short sample here.
