For this week’s installment of Vintage Video, we dip into the vaults of “Rockpalast” for this performance by The Smiths in 1984. This 15-song set finds the band burning through its early material to the point that it encores with a couple of its best-known songs that already had been performed earlier.

Well, here’s a fun one: The Dead Milkmen today shared a radio promo they recorded in 1985 for the University of Pennsylvania’s WXPN radio station, a re-write of “Bitchin’ Camaro” that announces the show “Yesterday’s Now Music Today” is moving from Sunday nights to weekday afternoon. Time for what’s becoming a regular Vintage Video repeat: While we’ve posted this before, The Cure’s Robert Smith has yet to follow through with his announcement of a DVD release of “The Cure in Orange,” so, as it remains sadly out of print, we once again present the full 1987 concert film.
