For this week’s “120 Minutes” Rewind, we offer up this classic performance by Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper of their 1989 single “Debbie Gibson is Pregnant With My Two-Headed Love Child,” the video for which MTV refused to play, apparently out of fear of offending the teen queen.

Talking Heads spinoff Tom Tom Club — husband-and-wife rhythm section Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz —has delivered a new video for “Kissin’ Antonio,” the second single from the band’s recently released ‘Downtown Rockers’ EP, the duo’s first new release in a dozen years.

Last night at New York City’s Terminal 5, the reunited Dinosaur Jr celebrated the 25th anniversary of You’re Living All Over Me by playing the 1987 album in its entirety and then enlisting members of The Smiths, Pixies, Sonic Youth, The Replacements and The Melvins to help blast through a second, career-spanning set.

In February 1981, R.E.M. played three known concerts, including a pair in Atlanta opening for Joe “King” Carrasco at the 688 Club. Little of this period has been seen on video, but Slicing Up Eyeballs is thrilled to be able to premiere — courtesy of Wuxtry Records in Athens, Ga. — this 40-minute set filmed at one of those Atlanta dates.

For this week’s “120 Minutes” Rewind, we present this clip from 1990 featuring Poison Ivy and the late Lux Interior of The Cramps talking to host Dave Kendall about the band’s just-released album ‘Stay Sick!’ and its semi-hit single “Bikini Girls With Machine Guns.”

The Cult recently enlisted witch house act Salem to remix the track “Elemental Light” off the band’s current album Choice of Weapon, and has just released a Kostas Seremetis-directed video for the new version — which, as you can hear from the beat-driven clip posted above, is pretty much and entirely different song than the original.

Peter Hook recently recorded a 2-minute video for the NME’s Song Stories series in which he discusses the origins of some of Joy Division’s most beloved songs, including “Love Will Tear Us Apart,” “Transmission” and “Atmosphere” — plus the future New Order classic, “Ceremony,” that Joy Division didn’t record.

The Church next year will release a live DVD capturing the band’s performance of three full albums — 1988′s ‘Starfish,’ 1992′s ‘Priest=Aura’ and 2009’s ‘Untitled #23’ — last December in Sydney, and is previewing the upcoming release by streaming each of the sets via Moshcam.com.

R.E.M. famously didn’t tour behind its two best-selling albums — 1991’s ‘Out of Time’ and 1992’s ‘Automatic For the People’ — but the band did play a single concert in support of the latter record, a Greenpeace benefit at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, Ga., exactly 20 years ago tonight.

Seemingly out of the, uh, blue, R.E.M. this week debuted a music video for the song “Blue” off swan song ‘Collapse into Now.’ The clip, posted here, is directed by actor James Franco and features a hodge-podge of visual imagery, including shots of Lindsay Lohan.

For this week’s “120 Minutes” Rewind, we present this 1990 appearance by Andrew Eldtritch of The Sisters of Mercy, who chats with host Dave Kendall about the band’s then-new third (and still final) album Vision Thing, in segments sandwiched between a showing of the video for that record’s epic single, “More.”

This Christmas marks the 25th anniversary of the boozy holiday classic “Fairytale of New York” by The Pogues and the late Kirsty MacColl, so, to mark the occasion, the band is reissuing the 1987 single in a variety of digital and vinyl formats with new cover art.

For our latest installment of Vintage Video, we turn, yet again, to the fabulous archive of the German TV show “Rockpalast,” this time for a full, 75-minute concert by the inimitable Siouxsie and the Banshees, filmed on July 19, 1981, in Colgone, Germany, just weeks after the release of the band’s fourth studio album, ‘Juju.’
