Echo & The Bunnymen currently are about midway through their North American tour in support of their latest album Meteorites, and tonight’s show in Seattle offers a special treat: It’s being broadcast live across the Internet as part of Yahoo! Saturday night, Johnny Marr brought a special guest on stage for the encore of his concert in Portsmouth, England: Robyn Hitchcock, who helped Marr perform the Smiths classic “Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want” and Hitchcock’s own “Tell Me About Your Drugs.”

For this week’s installment of our “120 Minutes” Rewind series, we present this “120 X-Ray” segment on former Wall of Voodoo frontman Stan Ridgway. As you can see below, the segment, which aired June 11, 1989, delves into Ridgway’s time with the New Wave act then proceeds to his solo work.

We paused the weekly “120 Minutes” Rewind feature a few months back because we’d exhausted most of the best clips available on YouTube, but, as time as passed, new finds have surfaced, including an hour-long Siouxsie and the Banshees special called “Scream Superstition.”

For this week’s installment in the Vintage Video series, we revisit the classic, original lineup of The B-52s — including the late Ricky Wilson — as the band plays a 30-minute set in Dortmund, part of what was then West Germany, in 1983 for the TV show “Rockpalast.” The set comes a month after the release of “Whammy!”

New Order has debuted a pair of new songs (“Singularity,” “Plastic”) on tour this year in North and South America, but used the occasion of its concert in San Francisco last night to do something perhaps even more unlikely: a cover of ’60s anthem “San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair).”

We re-christen the long-dormant Vintage Video series with this fantastic pro-shot footage of Gang of Four performing a taut, 22-minute set at the Music Biennale Zagreb festival in Croatia, on May 15, 1981. The performance comes a couple months after the release of the band’s sophomore album, Solid Gold,

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds celebrated the release of their 15th studio album Push the Sky Away by performing the record in full on Feb. 21, 2013, at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles — and broadcasting that performance around the world live on YouTube.

Murray Attaway and Jeff Walls, co-founders of suburban Atlanta jangle-pop favorites Guadalcanal Diary, have reunited under a new musical banner, enlisting bassist Phyllis Wells of Hillbilly Frankenstein and Swimming Pool Q’s drummer Robert Schmid to create a new band called Blasting Cap.

When New Order toured South America earlier this year, the band debuted “Singularity,” its first new track since the Waiting for the Sirens’ Call sessions. Earlier tonight, Bernard Sumner and Co. opened a U.S. tour with another premiere, performing the new song “Plastic” for the first time ever.

More than a year ago, the surviving members of The Call reunited with for a pair of concerts in California with Robert Levon Been of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club filling in for his late father Michael Been, and while a full tour never came to pass, the band has now released a CD and DVD.

Midge Ure returns this August with his first new solo album in more than a decade, a 10-song set called Fragile that he’ll promote by joining the 13-date Retro Futura Tour later this summer alongside Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, Howard Jones, China Crisis and Katrina of Katrina & The Waves.
