Midnight Oil played a pair of small Australian concerts in recent days ahead of a short run of European dates, and treated fans to both the debut of the band’s first new song in 16 years and the group’s first full-album performance of Diesel and Dust in its native country. The Cure last night opened its five-night run of Disintegration 30th anniversary concerts at the Sydney Opera House, performing not only the classic 1989 album in full for the first time since 2002 but also debuting seven B-sides and outtakes from those recording sessions.
