The dB’s this week released a new song as a free MP3 download — the rocker ‘Revolution of the Mind,’ featuring Yo La Tengo’s Ira Kaplan on guitar — and announced plans to issue ‘Falling Off the Sky,’ the band’s first new studio album in 25 years, sometime in the spring of 2012.

Modern English last month mounted a short tour of the southeastern U.S. — mostly within Florida, in fact — and now you can watch one of those concerts in full, thanks to Florida’s True Marketing, which made this 56-minute film of the band’s Sept. 21 performance at The Abbey in Orlando.

R.E.M. today released a 2:46-long trailer for its upcoming, career-spanning best-of — the 40-song ‘Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage: 1982-2011’ — that also offers up the first taste of ‘We All Go Back To Where We Belong,’ one of three new tracks that will appear on the set, which lands Nov. 15.
