We first wrote about Freedom Records & Films’ documentary about Mojo Nixon back in 2013, and, at the time, it was expected out in 2014. We’re not entirely sure what delayed it, but the production has recently announced the film — “The Mojo Manifesto” — will be released in 2020. See the trailer right here.

Ministry is wrapping up its fall tour with concerts last night and tonight in Los Angeles, and has pulled out something of a shocker: Al Jourgensen brought Chris Connelly and Dave Navarro onstage last night to perform “(Everyday Is) Halloween” in concert for the first time in more than 30 years.

Vanessa Briscoe Hay’s Pylon Reenactment Society — the band the Pylon frontwoman put together following the death in 2009 of guitarist Randy Bewley — next week will release its first original music in the form of a two-song single to be issued digitally and on 7-inch vinyl. Fans were thrilled to see Johnny Marr rejoin the The The fold for the band’s comeback single last year, but the ex-Smiths guitarist did not join Matt Johnson’s touring band for its first concert dates in 16 years this summer — presumably as he had his own album to promote. Tonight, though, they did perform together in London.

To mark the release of a new 5-disc, 30th anniversary edition of The House of Love’s Creation Records debut, Cherry Red Records put together a 45-minute documentary on the album’s making featuring fresh interviews with frontman Guy Chadwick and guitarist Terry Bickers. Watch it right here.

Last night’s Morrissey concert in San Diego ended the way many of the singer’s shows have: with fans rushing the stage, overcoming security in hopes of a brief moment with the performer. At least one of those fans got very close to Moz, though, and the singer was rushed offstage. Watch the footage here.

Morrissey today debuted the music video for his new cover of The Pretenders’ 1982 single “Back on the Chain Gang,” and, in a shocking development, it features the former Smiths frontman playing guitar. Or at least going through the motions. Watch the full music video right here.

Back in 2013, former Oingo Boingo frontman Danny Elfman sang in concert for the first time since that band’s demise in 1995, taking the mic during an orchestral performance of some of the beloved film scores he’s composed for director Tim Burton’s work. He did it again this weekend, and sang an Oingo Boingo song, too.

Karl Wallinger’s got big plans for 2019, with a new World Party studio album — the band’s first in 19 years — planned for release along with  reissues of the group’s full catalog on vinyl for the first time throughout the year, beginning with 1986 debut Private Revolution. The new album is expected in the spring.

The concert film/documentary “New Order: Decades” — chronicling the group’s “So It Goes…” synth-orchestra collaboration with artist Liam Gillick — was broadcast last month on the U.K.’s Sky Arts television network, and finally has surfaced online for the rest of the world to see. Marc Almond and Dave Ball reunited as Soft Cell tonight for the first time in 15 years to simultaneously commemorate the classic synthpop act’s 40th anniversary and bid fans farewell with one final concert — dubbed, naturally, “Say Hello, Wave Goodbye.” Check out the full setlist and see selected video right here.

Johnny Marr took the stage at Southern California’s Ohana Festival today for a short set that featured a drop-in from one of the event’s organizers: Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, who sang The Smiths classic “There Is a Light That Never Goes Out” with Marr and his band.  Check it out right here.

Thirty years after touring the U.S. in support of World Without End, guitarist/songwriter David Newton of The Mighty Lemon Drops received a VHS tape in the mail. On it: professionally recorded footage from the band’s gig at at Chicago’s Cabaret Metro in May 1988. Check it out right here.
