Depeche Mode fans long have clamored for an official video release of the band’s mammoth 1990 World Violation Tour, although popular lore holds the group did not professionally film any of its concerts in support of breakout album ‘Violator.’ With taht in mind, we revisit the era with three complete concerts from the 1990 tour.

Last weekend, The Stone Roses brought their improbable reunion tour to Manchester for three nights at the city’s Heaton Park, playing to a total of 220,000 fans in what have been billed as the fastest-selling concerts in U.K. history — and now you can watch the complete, 19-song, 100-minute set from the band’s first night.

Public Image Ltd. frontman John Lydon appeared on a panel with several members of the British Parliament last night on the BBC’s ‘Question Time’ program, where a good portion of the discussion focused on the so-called war on drugs (‘Let us as human beings determine our own journey through life,’ Lydon implored).

Beacon Audio recently launched a new video interview series and one of their latest installments features Dave Wakeling of The English Beat, who, in this five-minute clip, discusses the longevity of the Beat, how he learned to play guitar completely wrong (he’s right-handed, but plays as a lefty) and his favorite part of a concert.

The new Duran Duran concert CD/DVD/Blu-ray ‘A Diamond in the Mind’ is out this week in the U.K. and arrives next week in the U.S., and while the band put out a fairly uneventful video teaser back in April, here’s the first full track issued from the live film: a performance of classic hit ‘Planet Earth.’

For this week’s installment of Vintage Video, we bring you another classic performance filmed for the German TV show ‘Rockpalast’ — this time a full 70-minute concert by XTC filmed in 1982, just two months before the band would play its last-ever tour date before retiring as a live act due to Andy Partridge’s stage fright.

Another festival, another webcast: The Cure tonight played Rock Werchter 2012 in Belgium, and, as has become customary, part of the band’s set was broadcast live over the web.
