The artistic emergence of Elizabeth Fraser — the heavenly, if reclusive, voice of the Cocteau Twins — continues with the release by Sam Lee of a new recording of ancient folk song “The Moon Shines Bright,” which finds the British folk singer duetting with Fraser. The Cure is teasing the release of its final performance of 1989’s Disintegration during a five-night run in Sydney, Australia, this past May and sharing three full songs — “Plainsong,” “Pictures of You” and “Disintegration” — taken from that concert. Watch those three clips right here.

Wayne Hussey has re-teamed with Los Angeles alt-rock outfit Beauty in Chaos, lending his voice to the rumbling single “The Delicate Balance of All Things” off the band’s forthcoming second studio album The Storm Before the Calm — and we’re thrilled to be able to premiere the music video for the new track.

Bauhaus closed out its three-night reunion at the Hollywood Palladium on Sunday night by saving a surprise for the end of the night: the band’s first performance of its cover of Brian Eno’s “Third Uncle” since its first reunion tour in 1998 — and only its second airing since 1983. Sinead O’Connor is returning to the concert stage after a four-year hiatus with a short Irish tour this fall — and she made her public re-appearance last week with a stunning performance of “Nothing Compares 2 U” and The Pogues’ “Rainy Night in Soho” on Irish TV’s “The Late Late Show.” Watch both right here.

he Alarm has been on tour in the U.S. this summer with contemporaries Modern English and Jay Aston’s Gene Loves Jezebel, a package that drew a high-profile guest in Cleveland last night: Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, who joined the Mike Peters-led band onstage to help perform its 1987 single “Rain in the Summertime.”

The Cure today shared the first footage of their 2018 appearance at the Meltdown festival that will be included in the band’s upcoming 40 Live: Curaetion-25 + Anniversary box set, which document that performance and their 40th anniversary show in London’s Hyde Park last year.
